Welcome to Coach Sam LLC, a new youth sports program and coaching organization run by Allderdice Soccer Head Coach, Sam Bellin. Coach Sam, as he is known to his players, has been deeply involved in Pittsburgh sports, whether as a player or coach, for the last four decades. Sam was a high school tri-sport athlete and a Division 1 college soccer player at the University of Georgia. He is extremely excited to have a chance to help develop Pittsburgh's rising young athletes under his own banner.
A lifelong Pittsburgher, Sam grew up playing soccer and led Allderdice High School as captain while earning All Western PA honors (graduating with school records in goals and assists). A natural leader, Sam captained Allegheny College (All Conference), before transferring to the University of Georgia where he led the Bulldogs to the conference semifinals. Sam was honored and humbled to be inducted into the Western PA Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
With a passion for helping children develop and thrive, Sam quickly moved into the coaching and teaching fields as the Athletic Director at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh and as a teacher with Pittsburgh Public Schools. He is the co-founder of Camp Spirit of the Game, where he is well-regarded for teaching valuable life skills within the framework of a fun sports program. Coach Sam is currently the Head Soccer Coach at Allderdice and is very proud of his players for winning 2 City League Titles and 2 WPIAL AAA Section Titles in the past decade. He was also recognized as the 2011-12 Allderdice Sports Coach of the Year and WPIAL Section 3 Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2016. Sam is the lucky husband of Sarah and honored father of their two active children Eamonn and Sammy.
